The Kalaram temple, situated in the Panchvati area of Nashik City, is dedicated to Lord Shree Ram. The name Kalaram derives from the statue of Shree Ram that is black.
The temple probably the most important Hindu Temple in the Nashik City was built in 1788 by Sardar Rangarao Odhekar at a cost of Rs. 23 Lakhs. The spire of the temple is made up of 32 tons of gold. This temple also houses the statues of Devi Sita and Shree Lakshman.
