06/10/2013 : In Ratnagiri, an assistant Police Officer Mr.H.R. Pevekar was being burnt by pouring kerosene and petrol on him by an unknown group of 5 people. This happened in the morning at around 6.00 am when Mr. Pevekar went for a morning walk. Mr. Pevekar has sustained a 90 % burn injuries and is being treated in the local hospital. According to police there was an ongoing dispute over the house which Mr. Pevekar had built and that dispute is the reason behind this nasty attack. Police arrested 2 people in this regard.
