This small village of about 3000 dwellings is famous for its Shree Shanishwar Temple which is said to be self-appeared shrine.

Peculiarity of this place is that the deity has no temple here.

The idol 5'-9" of height is placed on the plinth in the open.

Women however are not allowed to stand on the plinth to perform Puja.

Fairs are held on Shani Amavasya and Gudi Padwa.

It is amazing that the houses in the village have no doors. It is believed that the God Shani punishes those who enter the house for theft.
