Sindhudurg Fort
Sindhudurg, an ocean fort and one of the best preserved forts of the Marathas, lies on a rocky island, just off the Malvan coast in Western India.

The Sindhudurg fort was constructed by Hiroji Indalkar, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s Architect, in 1667 and is spread over 16 hectares, with 3 kilometers long rampart, and massive walls that are 9 meters high. This is one of the finest sea fortress of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The Sindhudurg fort houses the temple of Shivaji Maharaj, only one in the world, which was constructed by Chhatrapati Rajaram Maharaj, the youngest son of Shivaji Maharaj.
