Shree Swami Samarth

Akkalkot, one of the important pilgrimage in Maharashtra is sanctified by the stay of Shree Swami Samarth and Shree Gajanan Maharaj.

Earlier it was a princely state. The king of this state Malojiraje Bhosale was a staunch devotee of Shree Swami Samarth, the incarnation of Shree Dattatraya. Before settling at Akkalkot, Swami had taken an extensive pilgrimage to various holy places. He took Samadhi in 1878 at Akkalkot.
